Team Wild continues to be the talk of this year’s Mackinac Island Policy Conference. Our billboards greeted visitors on their way to the island; campaign volunteers are greeting conference-goers with t-shirts and literature, and we’re getting ready for a fundraiser and reception at the historic Cloghaun Bed and Breakfast on Market Street.

As Chris Gautz of Crain’s Detroit Business said in a Tweet earlier today, “I’ve seen more signage for Bill Wild than I’ve seen for the #mpc14 itself.”

Beyond the billboards: Building on the momentum created by campaign visibility, Mayor Wild has kept a busy schedule, discussing key issues facing Wayne County in depth with business and civic leaders like U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow and Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Gary Peters. He’s also had a full round of media appearances, including interviews with TV2, WWJ, the Detroit Metro Times and Face Detroit with the Michigan Chronicle’s Bankole Thompson. Talks with WJR and MLive.com are scheduled for tomorrow.
