As civil and business leaders gather on Mackinac Island for the annual Policy Conference sponsored by the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce, Team Wild is once again setting the pace in the campaign for Wayne County executive.
As reported in the Detroit Free Press this weekend, Bill Wild’s campaign for new leadership in Wayne County is featured in three highly visible billboards, strategically placed along I-75, where they will be seen by travelers headed north to attend the Mackinac Island event.
The billboards ask: “Got Vision?” “Got Leaderhip?” and “Got Regional Cooperation?”
No other Wayne County candidate has taken advantage of this opportunity, leaving Team Wild alone at the head of the pack.
“We need a real conversation about how to get Wayne County back on track,” says Wild, who led a dramatic turnaround as Mayor of Westland, turning a $50 million deficit into a $5.6 million dollar surplus. “I’m looking forward to a lot of good discussions this week. But what really matters is how we can bring home change for the taxpayers and residents of Wayne County.”
